The hunting season began again this week. At the moment it is only permitted to hunt sanglier, wild boar, but the season opens progressively until almost everything is considered fair (?) game. Hunting dogs have been very active around the house over the weekend, followed by the occasional gunshot. The hunters seem more excitable than the dogs. I doubt they killed any sanglier, but one man was shot in the knees in Les Landes. Last year fifty-five people died while hunting in France.
